We are thrilled to announce that our School of the Year 2024 winner is Collydean Primary School.

We had lots of great pictures and work sent to us during the programme by all the schools. This year we had 79 schools participating with 51 of our stores. Stores worked alongside the schools to provide the equipment, and livestock and offer any help that was needed throughout. Well done to everyone who took part - students, teachers, and some parents- we hope that the programme has inspired the next generation of Fishkeepers.

It was a tough job for us to select one school, but we could only have one winner, and this year it was Collydean. We have received an update from them every week telling us what they had been up too. There were also a few Fishkeepers of the Week who had done some excellent fishkeepers. Not only that but they made their own 3D aquariums to which they added to each week to try and match their aquarium in the classroom.

Tappers and Kayleigh took a trip to Scotland to award the Students of Collydean Primary School their medals and trophy on May 13th. Each pupil who took part in taking care of the fish received their medal. We then presented the teacher Miss Flannery with the trophy.

The pupils have lots of questions for Tappers. They asked about the Tappers about the fish that he owned and how long he had been fishkeeping. They also asked about how Fry came about and what to do with the Fry.

Collydean Primary School still has its tank in the classroom that is bustling with life. They have even welcomed some of their very own shrimp Fry. In their school hallway, they have designed a wall display that shows the students each week completing the tasks and what they have learned in those lessons.

We have enjoyed paying a visit to Collydean Primary School. The enthusiasm from the pupils and teachers certainly showed that they deserved to be School of the Year 2024.
