Seachem Clarity â„¢ is the ultimate clarifier for both fresh and saltwater. It employs an advanced polymeric flocculating agent that is both reef and plant safe. Clarityâ„¢ is the only clarifier on the market that does it all! Clarityâ„¢ will clear all types of clouding.
It works as an aggressive flocculant but will not remove elements important to your aquariums well being such as trace elements, macro and micro nutrients. A flocculant acts by attaching to small particles clumping them together to make them much larger and easier to remove from the water using mechanical filter. Flocculants will make the cloudiness in the aquarium worse for a short period of time until the large particles are removed by the filter action.
It's also safe to use on marine or reef tanks operating a skimmer and will not cause extra foaming. In short all you need is one product that resolve all types of cloudy water.
Upon adding Clarityâ„¢ to the water, you will see a cloudy haze begin to form. This is normal and means that Clarityâ„¢ is beginning to work. The water is filled with tiny pieces of floating matter that were not visible to the naked eye.
Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 US gallons). In some situations the cloudiness may increase after adding Clarity™, however this is normal and is a sign that Clarity™ is actively working. Rapid clarification will follow (1–2 hours). In the case of chemical or particulate clouding clean filter floss or cartridge after tank clears.
