Red Sea's years of extensive research has identified that on top of the core 3 Foundation elements there are another 31 minor and trace elements found in all coral skeleton and soft tisses. The Red Sea Trace Colors range is part of their Coral Coloration program, and are divided into four different groups: A, B, C and D. Trace Colors A to D are grouped by the biological functions they perform, but in general they are all associated with the production of different colour pigments in the soft tissue of stony corals. These pigments can only be produced if specific elements are available for bio-chemical processes. Despite the huge variety of colours exhibited by differing coral species all 31 elements are required by all corals to show their full potential.
Red Sea's Trace Colors supplements are formulated so that their composition matches the natural ratio of elements found in coral skeleton and tissues. There is also a constant corresponding ratio between each of the elements in the Trace Color supplements and the overall consumption of calcium, which is proportional to coral growth and metabolic activity. Each of the Trace Colors range contains a leading element that can be accurately measured with their Trace Color Pro Test Kit allowing the different supplements to be dosed as needed.
Red Sea Trace Colors C Iron+ Supplement contains a blend of 8 complementary elements: iron, manganese, cobalt, copper, aluminium, zinc, chrome and nickel. Together this complex of metals provide the needs for coral growth as well as many bio-chemical metabolic processes such as respiration, and the production of energy, chlorophyll, and photosynthetic catalysts. The C group of elements also promote the natural green colours in corals.
1ml will raise the iron level of 100L by 0.01ppm
