NOPO Control is a complete solution for aiding with algae management. The specifically developed solution of hydrocarbons is a safe way of degrading Nitrate and Phosphate levels in any aquarium. It is completely reef and plant safe and can be used in both fresh and salt water.
It works by maximising the performance of the bacteria present in the biological filtration of the aquarium, enabling an efficient degradation of nitrate and phosphate levels if their levels are high and extreme. Using NOPO control also improves the overall biology on a long term basis as well as acting as an extra source of energy for any occupant corals; boosting their growth and colour.
How to Use
Start with a daily dose of 2 ml per 100 litres of water and increase this to a maximum of 10 ml per 100 litres of water if needed, until a reduction in the nutrient levels can be measured. Maintain the selected dosage until reaching the desired nutrition levels and then adjust this if need be so as to keep the levels stable.
For maximum effectiveness Microbe-Lift recommend using NOPO control alongside Special Blend. Maintain an interval of at least 48 hours between the dosage of each product.
Be sure to check the NO3 and PO4 levels regularly to ensure the product is working and avoid limitation of them. The PO4 level should not be allowed to drop to 0 as it is a vital energy source needed by plants, corals and beneficial bacteria. It is used in the nitrate degradation process.
