​The only space I can put a fish tank is in a busy hallway and wanted to know if that is ok?

An aquarium is a combination of water, electricity and glass - sitting one somewhere where accidents are likely needs careful consideration. If these factors are ruled out, the foot traffic can be an issue for nervous fish, although it can make these more confident once they become accustomed to everyday events. 

By avoiding species known to be particularly sensitive, there's no reason why your tank shouldn't be a success; you've only got to look in any of our stores during the school holidays to see the same experiment repeated.
