1. How do I care for AquaFleur aquarium plants?
AquaFleur plants are easy to care for and suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists. Ensure they receive sufficient light (6–8 hours daily), maintain stable water conditions, and use a quality fertiliser or nutrient substrate to support growth. Regular trimming will keep the plants healthy and prevent them from overcrowding your tank.
2. Can AquaFleur plants survive without CO2?
Yes, many AquaFleur plants can thrive in aquariums without additional CO2 injection. While CO2 can enhance their growth and vibrancy, these plants are adaptable and perform well in low-tech setups with proper lighting and nutrient levels.
3. Are AquaFleur plants safe for fish and shrimp?
Absolutely! AquaFleur plants are completely safe for fish, shrimp, and other aquatic creatures. They create a natural habitat, offering shelter, breeding spots, and enrichment for your tank’s inhabitants.
4. How do I prevent algae when keeping live aquarium plants?
To prevent algae, balance lighting and nutrients in your aquarium. Avoid excessive light exposure (stick to 6–8 hours daily), and ensure your plants are absorbing available nutrients by using a good fertiliser. Regular maintenance, such as water changes and removing decaying plant material, also helps keep algae under control. Introducing algae-eating fish or shrimp can be an added bonus!
5. What is the best substrate for AquaFleur plants?
A nutrient-rich substrate, such as plant soil or sand topped with fertilisers, is ideal for AquaFleur plants. The substrate should be deep enough (around 5–8 cm) to allow proper root development. If using standard gravel, supplement it with root tabs or liquid fertilisers to provide essential nutrients for plant growth.
